Planning your home around a lovely courtyard where each room is visually connected with it is a great way to create a relaxing and rejuvenating vibe indoors. Of course it’s a lot easier said than done and often courtyards end up being either too constrained or far too artificial to really add that outdoorsy charm to your home. But the lovely designed by Neumann Mendro Andrulaitis Architects showcases how to design a home around a sensational courtyard that promises to offer a relaxing hangout after a hard day’s work.
One of the most distinctive features of the home is its that is covered in steel and ushers in an air of timelessness to an otherwise modern structure. Turning a normal home in a multi-level residence with a lovely attic the design of the house by Dorrington Atcheson Architects fuses a distinct silhouette with seamless modern ergonomics.
Windows were kept to a bare minimum with just three large windows on the main living area offering scenic views of the mountain terrain outside. A smart air circulation system and a black corrugated steel exterior make the home even more energy-efficient.
Adding to the sheen of the steel façade are framed accent panels in perforated aluminum clad in bright red. The entry of the renovated home also features a tinge of red while the living area bedrooms and bathrooms showcase smart red accents. This creates a visual connection between the interior and the exterior despite the use of contrasting materials. Split into three levels the lowest floor houses a rental while the top two levels make up the owner’s duplex. The second level contains the living area kitchen dining space and home office / TV room of the duplex and the top floor houses the master suite along with additional bedrooms and bathrooms.
The design of a lavish bachelor pad presents design challenges that are distinctly different from those encountered in an opulent family home. Perched atop a brand new skyscraper that is nestled in the heart of this sensational loft apartment spread across is truly world class in every sense of the word.
Even though the original timber frame from the barn was utilized for the new rustic home it was completely draped in that also make up the roof as well. A polished concrete slab with a radiant heating system makes up the floor of the house and also offers an elevated platform.
Transcendent lighting the sight of cool hammock-laced hangouts floating on the lake just a few steps away and the curated pool deck with an outdoor lounge add to the appeal of the pool house. Without a semblance of a doubt it is the magical backdrop that turns this sensible and stylish kiosk into a memorable masterpiece!
