The idea behind the project was simple enough in principle but far harder to execute. The harsh weather of the region meant that the new home needed the right insulation and an air circulation system that kept the interiors fresh while keeping the heat indoors.
It is the double-height living room on the lower level that morphs into the heart and soul of the home with the dining area and kitchen on one side and the open outdoors on the other. Connected with the backyard pool area and the sweeping deck it has a relaxing outdoorsy feel and the open design with large glass doors and windows enhances this airy ambiance.
The undulating terrain of the plot meant that Felipe Bueno & Alexandre Bueno had to create a lower wing that contained the laundry cellar and garage while providing the top level with a base at uniform height. A green wall that took shape in the garden outside flows into the living room as well and brings along with it both natural freshness and ventilation.
With a breezy metallic structure and an interior that only uses unassuming colors like white black and gray the focus here remains firmly on the mesmerizing scenery that sets the tone for unending parties and a tranquil holiday atmosphere. Complete with a small living zone a kitchen and a dining area every aspect of the pool house aims to bring together contemporary comfort with the natural beauty of the lakeside escape.
Evocative additions that borrow elements from a simpler ranch-inspired lifestyle and a seamless connectivity between the interior and the outdoors ensure that every day here feels like an endless vacation.
